Jason Hisey

Head Coach

Jason went to high school in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he was the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year in 1987, as well as a USA Baseball All-American. After high school Jason attended the University of Arizona on a baseball scholarship. He was an Academic All-Pac 10 pitcher (1991), team captain (1991), and part of the 1989 Pac-10 championship team. He was selected in the MLB draft in both 1990 and 1991. He signed a professional baseball contract in 1991 with the St. Louis Cardinal organization where he played three seasons.

After professional baseball he completed both his undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Arizona. After completing his graduate degree in 1994 he went to work for The Tucson Jewish Community Center where he ran youth sports programs, and Catalina Foothills High School, where he served as a teacher and head baseball coach.

At Catalina Foothills High School his teams captured 8 region championships and played for three state championships over 11 years (1995-2005). After coaching at Catalina Foothills High School he became the associate head coach at Pima Community College (2006), as well as a USA Baseball National team coach for the 18-under age group (2005-2007). During his time with USA baseball he was fortunate to be part of two silver medal winning teams, 2005 as an assistant, and 2006 as head coach.

After his tenure with USA Baseball, he became head coach for two seasons at Ironwood Ridge High School, where he compiled a 38-25 record and one region championship. In 2011, he was hired as the head baseball coach at Pima Community College, where we compiled a 196-188 record over seven seasons.

Jason was hired as head baseball coach at CDO in the fall of 2018. In six full seasons (2020 season cancelled due to Covid) with CDO he has compiled an 140-42 record, won four Region Championships: 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025 and two State Championship: 2022, 2023.

He currently works with his wife in his housing development company, The Hisey Group, Inc. and they have four daughters, Daniella, Hope, Alexis and Grace.
